The Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions below apply to the Academic Juries marketing website at academicjuries.com (the “Site”).
Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 4, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how R. McMillan, doing business as Academic Juries (“Academic Juries,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, and shares information about visitors to the Site, including prospective customers who contact us through the “Request a Demo” form.
1. What this policy covers
This policy covers only the public marketing Site. It does not cover the Academic Juries application used by universities and their faculty, administrators, and students. Information in the application is handled under the agreement we have with each institution and any privacy notices presented inside the application.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you submit the “Request a Demo” form, we collect:
- your first and last name;
- your work email address;
- your institution’s name; and
- your department (optional).
We also receive anything else you choose to send us, for example if you email us at support@academicjuries.com.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, our servers and service providers may record technical information such as your IP address, browser type and version, device and operating system, referring page, pages viewed, and the date and time of your visit. When you submit the demo form, we also log your IP address and email address for security and troubleshooting.
Analytics and similar technologies. We may use analytics, measurement, or similar tools provided by third parties to understand how visitors use the Site and to improve it and our marketing. These tools may use cookies, pixels, tags, local storage, or similar technologies, and may collect information such as your IP address, device identifiers, pages viewed, and approximate location. Which tools we use may change over time.
3. How we use information
- to respond to your request, schedule and give demonstrations, and follow up about Academic Juries;
- to operate, secure, and improve the Site and our products and services;
- to understand how the Site is used and how our marketing performs;
- to communicate with you about Academic Juries, and to send occasional updates you can opt out of;
- to detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and security incidents; and
- to comply with law and enforce our terms.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:
- Service providers that help us run the Site and our business, such as email delivery, hosting and infrastructure, analytics, customer-relationship or marketing tools, and similar services. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
- Legal and safety. When we believe disclosure is required by law, legal process, or a government request, or is needed to protect the rights, property, or safety of Academic Juries, our customers, or others.
- Business changes. If Academic Juries is sold, merged, or transferred, information may be transferred to the successor, which will be bound to honor this policy.
5. Cookies and your choices
You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can block or delete them. Blocking some technologies may affect how the Site works. Where required by law, we will treat a browser’s Global Privacy Control signal as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Our Site does not currently respond to “Do Not Track” signals because there is no common standard for them.
You can opt out of marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in the email or by writing to us. We may still send messages about a request you made or about your account.
6. How long we keep information
We keep demo request information for up to 24 months after our last interaction with you, then delete or de-identify it. We may keep it longer if the law requires, if we need it to resolve a dispute or enforce an agreement, or if you become a customer, in which case the customer agreement governs. Server and analytics records are kept only as long as needed for the purposes above.
7. Your rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you can ask us to stop contacting you. Depending on where you live (for example, California and certain other U.S. states), you may have additional rights under local privacy law, such as the right to receive a copy of your information, to opt out of targeted advertising or the sale or sharing of personal information, and to not be treated differently for exercising your rights.
To make a request, email support@academicjuries.com. We may need to verify your identity first, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law. You may also use an authorized agent where the law allows it. If you disagree with our response, you may be able to appeal by replying to us, and you may contact your state attorney general.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
The Site is intended for educators and institutional staff. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. International visitors
Academic Juries is based in the United States and the Site is operated from here. If you visit from another country, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live.
11. Links to other sites
The Site may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new “Last updated” date. If we make a material change, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, such as by posting a notice on the Site.

Terms & Conditions
Last updated: October 4, 2026
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and R. McMillan, doing business as Academic Juries (“Academic Juries,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), and govern your use of the marketing website at academicjuries.com (the “Site”). By using the Site or submitting any form on it, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
1. Who may use the Site
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding agreement. If you use the Site on behalf of a university, department, or other organization, you confirm that you have authority to do so.
2. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Site for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose;
- submit false, misleading, or another person’s information, or submit forms on someone else’s behalf without permission;
- probe, scan, or test the Site’s security, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to it, our servers, or our data;
- interfere with or overload the Site, or introduce viruses or other harmful code;
- use bots, scrapers, or automated means to access the Site or submit forms, except for ordinary search-engine indexing; or
- copy, reverse engineer, or resell the Site or its content except as these Terms allow.
3. Demo requests and information you submit
When you submit the “Request a Demo” form, you confirm that the information is accurate and that you consent to us contacting you about Academic Juries using the details you provide. We will use your information as described in our Privacy Policy.
Submitting a request is not a purchase, subscription, or contract for services, and it does not guarantee that we will schedule a demo or offer you a particular product, price, or availability. We may decline or ignore any request at our discretion. Use of the Academic Juries application by an institution is governed by a separate written agreement or subscription terms.
Do not include sensitive information, such as student records, grades, government identification numbers, or financial information, in the form or in emails to us. Any feedback or suggestions you send us may be used by us without restriction or payment to you.
4. Product and pricing information
Descriptions of features, screenshots, plans, add-ons, and prices on the Site are for general information. Features marked “coming soon” are not yet available and may change or never be released. Prices and plans may change at any time, and the Site is not an offer that you can accept to form a contract. Errors and omissions may occur, and we may correct them without notice.
5. Intellectual property
The Site and everything on it, including text, graphics, logos, screenshots, video, and software, belongs to Academic Juries or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. “Academic Juries” and our logos are our trademarks. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to view the Site for your own evaluation of our services. No other rights are granted. You may not use our names or logos without our written permission.
6. Third-party sites and services
The Site may link to or rely on third-party websites and services. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices. Using them is at your own risk.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ITS CONTENT IS ACCURATE OR COMPLETE. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN DISCLAIMERS, SO SOME OF THESE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
8. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ACADEMIC JURIES AND ITS OWNER, CONTRACTORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SITE OR THESE TERMS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO THE SITE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100). THESE LIMITS APPLY TO THE EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW AND DO NOT LIMIT LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE EXCLUDED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.
9. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Academic Juries and its owner, contractors, and service providers from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your misuse of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or information you submit that you were not authorized to provide.
10. Suspension and termination
We may restrict or block access to the Site at any time, without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or if we need to protect the Site or others. Sections that by their nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law) will survive termination.
11. Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to the Site or these Terms will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Arizona, and you consent to their jurisdiction and venue. Before filing a claim, you agree to first contact us at support@academicjuries.com and try in good faith to resolve the matter informally for at least 30 days.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time by posting the updated version here with a new “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
13. General
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Site. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent; we may assign them in connection with a sale or transfer of our business.
